Electric co-ops are accountable to you! We are owned by you and the other members and you elect a Board of Directors among yourselves to represent your interests in the business decisions that are made at NEC.

Subscription to Texas Co-op Power magazine! Texas Co-op Power magazine is one of the premiere publications in Texas with one of the largest circulations in the state! You'll find this magazine full of interesting information about Texas and about the happenings at Nueces Electric Co-op.

Capital Credits! As a co-op, NEC will send you a notice each year that indicates your "capital credits allocation" for the previous year. That means if at the end of the previous year, NEC had margins or "profits" then those will eventually be paid to you and our other members who received service from NEC in the previous year. The allocated capital credits go into your "capital credit account" at the co-op and every so often, the Board of Directors will pay some of these to you and the other members in the form of a bill credit or a cash payment.
